Ordered this overhead camera boom from Amazon $30, attached a t bracket ≈$2 and hung it from some chain $1. Plan on ziptying cords to stand. Just wanted to hear your thoughts before moving it above tank. (Everything rated for at least >8lbs)

If it works it works. Make sure your chains are strong enough to hold the light. Would be more concerned about being able to hold the light straight. Doesn’t look like that setup gives you the option.

It’s at like a 45° in the pictures that puts the light at 12" above water, I can level it out to 90° and it’s at ≈10” of water. Thinking about using the holes in the back of light to attach to stand arm to level light
