I saw a DIY stand on here a few years ago when they made the stand longer in width then the actual tank,

I am thinking of building A Custom stand, 40 breeder tank but have the stand 48" wide. Reason I want to do this is one it give more room underneath and two it looks different then just a typical stand.

I am thinking of doing it with 3/4" ply with no center brace, but frame out the corners and top Frt and back with 2x4's for added strength.

Anything I should do it i do this or does this sound ok>

I've built stands in this manner. It is a nice look. But for me, it just became a place for junk to accumulate.
