Thanks…

The Algae, I have not found anything. One of the reasons I was hoping to upgrade one day.

I want to add a tang or two to see if it will help. I have been pulling it out when it is bad.

Plumbing was much more difficult than I thought it would be. I had to redo due to
Leaks. The aquarium is in our family room and on the hard wood floors.

Finally got it as needed.
Now to tackle a light fixture or mounting brackets for my light
There is still algae on the rocks now…

I will get to it, hoping to add some new fish first to see if it helps.

The algae is a pain

I bought a Maxspect pump
and controller from the marketplace… Bought another pump to run two since one is not enough only to find that the controller is not working properly. Probably will get burned on this purchase.

I was looking for alternatives, my MP 40’s keep falling off the thicker glass. MP60 is pricey, I was hoping for another option. At this point Maxspect support has not been helpful. I was hoping that at least I could get it fixed at a cost lower than replacing the controller. Let’s see if this changes…

At least when I had issues with the Ecotech I could send in for repairs… or they would provide a discount on a new one if it could not be repaired.

I have a sump in the basement… along with my controller top off etc…
This is the plumbing upstairs. It just dumps into a typical sump. I also have a water change station right by the sump.

I still plan to paint the plumbing a bit to blend in…

I need to mount my light first, may try to get that done this weekend.

Plumbing is straight, pictures make it look a bit off

I received a response from the seller of the pump, he is assisting as he may have registered the pump. I provided him with the support information required. Hopefully i can get this resolved. That was nice of him to respond, I understand it is used however it was sold as new condition. Even if I have to pay a small fee to get repaired it will be fine. I just don’t want to have to buy a new unit otherwise I would have just bought all new

After a few messages back and forth with the seller of the pump. We came across options to get the second pump running on the controller. I have it working so all is good.

Looks like really nice work to me. Glad to see some 45's on the drain side. Is the one that runs on top 1.5 inch and the one right under 1 inch? If so did it add any difficulty dialing in the Herbie?

So far all is working fine. Although a bigger return pump is in my future.

Also think I will need more flow from power heads

I still have not mounted my lights properly. I really need to do this soon.

I opted to go another route instead of Tangs… At least for the time being…

I placed an order from Harry’s Marine Life
For a trio of Watanabie Angels. They are currently in a QT tank that I had matched salinity of the delivery and have been using my DOS to slowly add tank water to match the salinity of the display. They appear to be eating, and look healthy. So I believe I may be able to add to display tomorrow.

To play it safe I will try to catch and isolate my Tomani Tang to avoid any unneeded stress.

I was not able to catch the tang, so I put up a mirror in hope to keep him distracted. The trio were added and all went well! I took the mirror off within 30 minutes no aggression, the new trio is in the display.

I will provide pics. Hopefully one of the female will eventually change to a male. It will be fun to watch the translation if/when it happens.

On another note… I never. Ordered from Harry’s marine life. However I can say that the communication was good, the individual even sent photos of the fish that were to be sent upon my request. The fish arrived well packed and in healthy condition. This is only my first order from them, I would order again.

So…if you were considering them. This may help you get them a try…
