I currently have one more fish with a disease that I don’t know what it is. I will show pics to see if anyone could help me identify it. I just had a clown and a firefish die and the firefish looked like it had something coming out of it but it was already eaten a bit. Does anyone know what the longest fallow period is for a disease is so I can be safe? And what is the best way to keep feeding the tank for the corals and inverts in there? If anyone has any info on this I would really appreciate it.

Thanks can these diseases come from coral and inverts as well? And do you know what type of disease this was by any chance?

@Jay Hemdal he’s very good at identifying diseases

Certain parasites can stick to hard surfaces for a while, but the longest period that’s known for a parasite (ich) to be without a host is 76 days.

Tough to say what happened to the clownfish, but if it was breathing fast prior to death I would say it had Amyloodinium, velvet. At 81 degrees, your tank would need to be fishless for at least 45 days. Remember though, you need to quarantine, else the first fish you add can bring a new disease right back in.
