i drip acclimate for at least an hour. with an aerator in the bucket. i will drip longer if i know they are difficult fish.
i also know i should quarantine. but i dont have a seperate tank to do it. so the best i can do , is i purchase my fish from a very trustworthy store. and do i the best i can with acclimation. and checking them over well, and keeping an eye on them once in the tank. luckily so far i havent had any issues. knock on wood.

If you have a reef or a lot of rock, good luck getting the sick fish out later. A very simple 10 gallon set up bare bottom with a pvc pipe in it will suffice for a quarantine.
