I have a 120 gallon mixed reef with a Wave Engine LE and two IceCap 4K Gyres. I also had a Jebao SOL 20 that just went dead. I previously had 2 Tunze 6100 on a multicontroller, those have both gone dead as well. I have a Hydros Collective, but the WE LE is currenlty not part of it.

I want more flow. I get dead spots due to aquascaping. I currently have a spare 4K Gyre. I was thinking about just picking up another Wave Engine LE and using that with my spare Gyre and an additional pump.

Is there an issues with this? Would I better served with the full sized Wave Engine that handles 4 pumps?

I think this is just a matter of how much money you want to spend. The Full Wave Engine has only 1 power supply and it adds 0-10v outputs so I think most people would see it as an upgrade over 2 LEs, but if you aren't going to use those features then a second LE will be cheaper and still get the job done.

You can control 2 LEs seamlessly in the Hydros App.
