Adding barnacle for blenny

So I have lawnmower blenny that being a bit of a bully to my new tailspot so it was suggested to me to add some barnacles for him. I had a clump of them laying on a table outside there was a small amount of dirt and sand inside. I have it sitting now in hot water, what else should I do before adding it to the tank?

Once they are clean you can drop them in the tank. I would drop them on the blenny myself
