Advice needed. Clownfish hosted before anemone get a chance to attach

Clownfish hosted in less than 5 mins after placing nem in the tank.
it hasn't get a chance to find a place to attach yet.
clownfish just keep swimming into it, so there's no way the nem can move around and find a spot.

should i remove the clownfish to another tank and let nem settle down first?
i never had a clownfish hosted in such short amount of time, always take them from a few days to weeks.
any advice would be helpful! thanks.

If you have an egg crate or breeding box - you could place this over the nem. A net can be used if large but with small holes so as not to get tangled in the tentacles but I’d really advise against this. My clowns hate the net so it’s enough to put it next to the nem.

I am a tad worried though. A heathy nem should attach quickly (within 10 minutes). At which point I’d keep my hand in the tank and chase the clowns away.

What anemone is it, and where are you trying to place it. Have you kept your power heads off whilst it settles.

it's a sebae, like i said the clown is all over it once it's in the tank. there's no way it can move on its own to find a spot to settle. clown also became very territorial and wouldn't let me get close either lol

I hate to say it but this is a very common issue with Sebaes and not attaching. Best way to help it is to get a small edged pot or jug and place it into to allow recovery.
