I have a Trident system, and just recently installed a DoS. And I'm wondering how much others need to dose a day JUST to keep stable.
Yes, different dosing brands do different things and use different amounts.
I'm using the BRS brand mix (soda ash for alk, etc).
Tank (size) : RSR 250 (so about 64 gallons total)
Alk: about 30 ml of soda ash concentrate
Calc: ~20ml a day
Magnesium: ~30ml a day. This seems high, which is why I am asking the question.

I know a lot of you won't be using the same stuff and therefor it won't be an apples to apples comparison, but let me know what you're doing.
Thanks!

You need to measure alk over 3 consecutive days at the same exact time each day to determine consumption. This will give you baseline for alk and cal dosing levels since they deplete at similar rates. Magnesium does not need to be dosed if you do weekly water changes. It only depletes at 1/10th the amount of alk and cal.

Reefer 300 75g total using esv alkalinity part and brs (RHF) calcium 20ml alk and 30ml cal daily via reefdose.
Reefer 170 44ish g total same stuff gets 15ml alk via doser and 20ml cal manually dosed.
180g gets 7300ml saturated kalk dosing 24/7
I don't add anything else except a little bacto balance and amino daily and bacteria twice a week. I've not had to add mag, I guess my water changes keep up
