Off topic of these particular bars, but on topic with the general discussion... Is anyone aware of a 12" or 18" supplemental LED bar option? Most product lines seem to start at 24".

There are several 12" bars on Amazon, and I recently played with a similar bar, but they are very lower powered (but with the same spread as a Blade). Consider trying them and send them back if they don't impress.

I have not tried this light. https://a.co/d/iq0btaU

Interesting observation, and I see your point. @telegraham would you expect to see four distinct peaks if there were four different LEDs? Or is it possible that the 410s and 430s are "blending" together to create that ~425 peak? When you look at the bar, visually can you see more than two different colored diodes?
No use in speculating. I'll pop open the bar and measure the individual diodes.

And keep an eye on Quanta Reef. Maybe Luca is working on something.

Hey, @bishoptf...I like the MCU reference on the shipping tube. I was the ramp coordinator for Iron Man 1 at Edwards AFB, so I have a warm spot for them peeps. As Tony and Rhodey are walking down the ramp of the C-17 (the same one blown up in Transformers), I'm driving the white truck. Those were good times.

@LobsterOfJustice ... I measured each diode individually with the UPRtek and a paper towel roll.

425/460/412/470/425/460/470/425/460/425/460/412/470/425/460/470/425/460/425/460/412/470/425/460/470/425/460

I wouldn't recreate that layout, as four different colors is too many for diodes that are a single color. If each diode was a double with different colors (or even better...a quad), then I'd offer different advice.

If I was to suggest a bar, I'd suggest a custom based on holes in the main light's spectrum or I'd go with 410/430/470 as a safe bet. Mains have 450nm covered well.

Is that my uv bar or one that you had?

That's your bar. Violet and blue, but no UV.
Yeah i tried to decode the diode layout but was not so easy with a couple that are close in color. Yeah i know they say uv but understand real UV is usually lacking although the spectrum showed something below 400nm at least i thought it looked liked that.

That's a common issue with reef LED manufacturers, they call anything under 430nm "UV", when really it's just violet. A (very) few actually do have UV (actually under 400nm), but only a few.
