Any idea what's going on with my Star polyp?

They called it a firecracker star polyp. Included a pic of it while healthy. The thing had been doing great for almost 2 months, thriving spreading like crazy. I stay up on my water changes, Zoas next to it are fine, etc.

Last 3 days it hasn't opened up though.. Is it done for/dead? Any ideas anything I can do to help it maybe survive?

I'll test them ASAP when I get home, sorry I know that's usually required to diagnose, was just thinking since the Zoas are good I'd be surprised the polyps are having a rough go due to params. One change to mention, I was getting dead spots so I added a power head to the water surface shooting across current is maybe 4" above the polyp. The polyp was fine and opening for 2 days, but then closed since. Maybe that's it?

if it’s only been a few days and all of your other corals haven’t had any issues may have just been disturbed by the new current and will open back up. In my personal experience when I do a water change the cloves will get a little upset if I pour the water directly above them

OK well that's somewhat comforting. I'll check the parameters and go from there. Do you think I should turn the new top one off for a few days just to see if they open back up? Or just let them adapt

Appears to be a clove polyp.
Quite invasive and hard to remove down the road.

There’s no history so impossible to give any reason, but maybe it’s a blessing.
