Hey Everyone,

Would any of you happen to know what this little guy is? It doesn’t look like aptasia to me. It is living under my GSP, so it must not need much light.

What's the base of it look like? Does it have a solid base (like the skeleton of a coral) or a squishy foot (like an anemone)?

I would scoop up under it, go deep enough to pull the entire thing out without much disruption, and isolate it for better pics/ID.

So, looking at it this morning, it is completely retracted. I watched it for some time just in case something brushed over it, but it has not opened at all this morning.

Due to its small size, I wouldn't want to move or touch it as it might get damaged. I think it might be attached to the rock just below the sand in that spot.

Reminds me of the mystery anemone a few of us have run across. Does it look like any of the pictures in the thread below?
