Apex Power Bars Failing

How do apex power bars EB4, EB8 EB832 usually fail? Is it possible for an outlet to fail in the off position? Currently dosing kalk controller by an outlet, if it were to fail on I would be in trouble. Other fail safes are in place but not ideal.

I don't think failing on or off is more likely in the event of a relay getting stuck. In the event of an aquabus cable getting unplugged setting the fallback to off should make sure the outlet turns off.
