I have tried repeatedly to get two power heads to run on an off and on cycle to create a alternating current in my tank but have failed every time.
Below is my last eat try. The pump stays on 24/7.
How do I make this work. On and off seemed like it would be easy.

If it was me I would set one pump to run the way you wanted it to run in the advanced program and then the other pump I would write in the advanced program again something along the lines of if your other pump is on then this pump is off

Or doing it the same way you’re doing it with the first pump and then like I said in the advance section for the second pump writing it something along the lines of if the other pump is on than this pump is off so when the other pump turns off your second pump will turn on

The original configuration went first trying to set up a powerhead in that mode has five minutes for all three options initial time off will be five minutes then it will be on time the pump will run for five minutes then the time off will be five minutes so it’ll stay off for five minutes and then turn back on for five minutes and then turn off for five minutes you need to put a time in your on time

You have these set to never come on at all and I have a suspicion you have the outlet itself set to ON when it needs to be in AUTO.

To alternate every 5 minutes, use

Pump1
Initial OFF - 5
ON - 5
OFF - 0

Pump2
Initial OFF - 0
ON - 5
OFF - 5

Thanks for all the replies.
I am trying to get them to run for a few hours, not minutes. I did have them set to on, now auto.
Switched to auto and now one is on. How do I set the time.
This is a step forward. Again thanks.

Just switched them to auto no they are both off. This doesn’t make sense as at least one should be on.

How exactly do you want them to alternate and do you want any lulls with no flow or swells with both simultaneously?

If you're trying to simulate tidal swells though, you actually want something more along the lines of

1 hour both
5 hours left
1 hour both
5 hours right

Which is

Left
Fallback ON
OSC 000:00/420:00/300:00 Then ON
If FeedA 005 Then OFF

Right
Fallback OFF
OSC 060:00/300:00/360:00 Then OFF
If FeedA 005 Then OFF

Or

1 hour none
5 hours left
1 hour none
5 hours right

Which is

Left
Fallback ON
OSC 060:00/300:00/360:00 Then ON
If FeedA 005 Then OFF

Right
Fallback OFF
OSC 420:00/300:00/000:00 Then ON
If FeedA 005 Then OFF

Not sure where these entries would go. I program via the outlet. I’ve tried other ways but don’t see where this mechanism is.
Thanks. This will teach me a lot ingetting other things to work the way I want.

What I show in post 11, add in the same "pump" style you were using before.

What I show in post #12, you would copy/paste into the "advanced" style

This what I have with the outlet set to Auto. Still no go. I’m getting confused.
