Lol but you’re saying they don’t just have eggs without a partner right? Some animals have eggs that aren’t fertilized. Didn’t know if this was an instance of that.
Yeah, to the best of my knowledge, banggais can't do parthenogenesis (virgin-births!). And if it was.....the females are the ones that lay the eggs, but the males are the ones that hold them sooooooo...yeah....
Ah yes, the wonders of parthenogenesis. Yeah, the only fish that I know of that do this are elasmobranchs (sharks), and to a lesser extent Amazon mollies (which still require sperm, but don't use the sperm to make the babies).
