Hey Friends!

I was wondering if anyone has any recommendation on which camera I should get if I want to have a live stream with cloud recording capabilities on my reef tank.

I don’t mind splurging on this.

The camera will be most likely mounted on the ceiling so it will need to have good zooming capability without quality loss…

Any Axis with the Compagnion App.
Any Bosch with the Cloud App.

It costs some money but they work flawlessly.

I run 2 Axis cams (M4206-LV) in my cabinet because they work perfect in a dark environment. They have an IR ring build in.
I run the P3245-LVE in house.

No hassle with port forwarding or insecure UPNP. Works out of the box with the free desktop and phone software.

Be careful with cams that want you to open ports on your router.

Thank you! Did you have to zoom at all? Does the zoom setting persist? Is the quality the same when zoomed in? I imagine I’d want 2-3x zoom to really just capture the tank…

Are there any good budget friendly options out there?
Wyze Cams are the best option for budget. Contact you IT person for security suggestions. I Run 8 of them on my reef, sump room and property. I love them. People will have a wild array of opinions on these.
