I was wondering if anyone has had luck in using oxolinic acid to treat bjd. I have it spreading in my tank and don't know what else to do. Cipro is a no go as I can't find it anywhere. I was thinking of doing witch hazel too.

You can't find cipro on amazon?

Shouldn't be that hard to find

You could also try chemiclean, which is just azithromycin - also an antiobiotic.

I agree I looked everywhere I can think of and needs a script. I did order oxolinic acid and it is considered a mild version of cipro I'm going to give it a try. I have tried chemi clean and didn't touch it

Cipro now requires a prescription at most stores, chewy included. Let us know if you find a source.

I just found some I ordered off "Dambshop"

It's getting pretty hard to find. Stocked up - 500mg, 100 pills.

Chewy and a bunch of other places got hit by the FDA so they don't carry aqua-cipro and some of those other brands

Shame. This stuff is very effective at dealing with lots of coral issues.

How bad of an outbreak?

Before you jump to antibacterial supplements have you tried spot treating with peroxide?

I got lucky I ordered some oxolinic acid and usps decided to ship it across country before getting it to me so it is somewhere in the US. A fellow local reefer gave me some cipro and amox to do the KFC dip. Did it yesterday so hopefully all is good now all is open today so fingers crossed

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
