very nice!

How is the tank going now and what setting and power are you running your gyre at?
thanks! tank is doing great, i have been busy with work after holiday. just hanging on the massive overdue update.
i'm using the new gyre 350 twins now, they are much much better IMO and well worth the upgrade. the current 300 series can setup different time schedule. when the lights are on 80% pulsing

You are using 2 of the gyre 350s and both at 80% power?

Tank is one year old now, must say i'm very happy to be back into the hobby. i have updated the first page of the hardware list as i have bought some more new toys over the last few months.

i'm using a bubble king supermarin 200 skimmer and now i think i'm settle with it. this is by far the best skimmer for my system. so consistent on the performance and quiet, should have just buy that at the start..lol

My sump also become my mini frag tank and clam tank. so the kids can look at those beautiful clams and learn about fragging. it is powered by an AI prime HD, so far i think it will grow coral well. comparing to halide, the sps does not grow as fast but the colours seems to be better

Since i have been using Alkatronic for few months now and i must say that is one of the most valuable equipment for my system. when i was in holiday, the alkatronic keeps monitoring my system and auto top up with my KH consumption. at the moment i just can not live without it. And because of that, i have also bought the Dosetronic as a combo to keep everythings more consistent and reliable. With this combo, it can adjust your daily dosage based on your consumption. and because of the KH monitor, i have understand how different of the consumption at different hour of the day.

And if the KH is over my set levels, it will skip dosage, pretty happy with it

I think that is enough talk, let the picture begins...lol

so my next upgrade for the tank is possible find someone to build me a control box that i can mount all the controller and alkatronic there. i would like to hide everything and make it neater. I've been also thinking about Orphek LED which i might switch to them but so far i'm pretty happy with what i have at the moment. if i'm struggle with coverage then i will look into them.

So it has been awhile since i update this tank journal. tank is still running and it is 2 years old now. Time flies....

so around 6 months ago i had some problem with my Alkatronic and Dosetronic combo, the Dosetronic just keep offline and burn the SD card. so within a month, i had 2 really bad alk swing events and around 60% of my sps died from it. tank recently just get back to "normal". The sps still survive are growing really well into a mini colony.

I have finally get someone to build me an electronic cabinet to put everything in one place.

Clarisea SK3000 installed last year, each roll last me for around 5 months, pretty happy with it.

So we moved to a new place recently, lost some of the sps. So i decided to have a new scape and make my tank become a mixed reef.
