I was at an aquarium today and they had this fish in a display tank and I want to figure out what kind of fish it is so I can hopefully get one for my home aquarium. I thought it looked like a type of anthias but couldn’t find a specific species that looked like it.

I’m really not quite sure what it is, but I’ll bump this thread for you.
I did a little bit of research and apparently it’s called a pacific creole fish. It’s a type of paranthius

Oh yeah, heard of that one. According to Scott W. Michael they are classified under wrasses but I guess they’re actually a type of Anthias. Don’t know much about their care though.
I wish I could find one for my tank, but I guess they’re hard to come by.

They can get big. Up to 14" and I'm guessing they would eat anything they could fit in their large mouth.
