can copepods eat coral? need help, have a video

so i realized i had high nitrates last night, around 60 ppm, this meat coral was irritated, i did a water change last night. Also i only have one fish in a 40 breeder is it possible the copepods arent getting enough food and doing this? so 4 hours later when the lights are off i see these guys on it. what do you guys think?

Amphipods... they don't consume coral, but if it's dead they'll pitch a tent in it.

Typically attracted to dead and decaying tissue.

I just received a bunch of these guys. They are very good for tank health and food source.
