Can fragging of palythoa and subsequent release of toxins kill other corals?

In the 35 years or so I've been keeping zoanthids and palythoa polyps, I have never had that issue. Fragging in tank and outside the tank.
But having said that, anything is possible.
But I would have to see it first hand to believe it.
