Can I diamond sawzall blade cut Marco Rock?

Why? Are there corals on it? If it's dry, just use a hammer and chisel.

I would like to create a level surface as a base piece. No corals it is dry rock

Yes, it works. Not only have I tried it and successful, but diamond cuts glass which is much harder than the rocks. Some rock was harder than others, but some cut like butter

One thing i forgot is be sure to keep the blade cool. Either do one cut and take a break or find a way to get some water on it as you cut

Yes, i have tried. It does work, but as mentioned, use a means of coolant. I did mine over the tub and trickled water in the cut. (It was -20 out at the time) That said, it kinda sucks and takes FOREVER. A tile saw would be way faster. FWIW

I looked at the tile saws and I didn't think they could cut larger pieces?

This style can, you can get about 6 7 inches, for bigger ones you can finish the middle with the sawzall.

Tile saw is definitely limited by the thickness of the stone. But you can flip the rock and try lining it up. Not easy and if you are even slightly off the thing won’t sit flat.

But a couple of smaller ones glued together might be the way to go.

Did the sawzall work @dandi ? I need to get inside my tank, and want to nip a piece that's already been cemented in place. I used a circular diamond tip hole saw, and this piece is a bear, barely made it through!

I have used a masonry blade on a circular saw. Cut on both sides and it will make breaking points

It wasnt working for me and I used the appropriate blade

I always had good luck with a hammer and chisel. Normally you can get it close to level and create a solid surface.

Angle grinder with a masonry blade. Cuts concrete so rock is soft in comparison. Lotta dust though so wet it down as you do it.
