Can you help me identify this equipment?

I purchased a tank from someone local on craigslist today and she ended up making me a deal on a massive bin of stuff. I'm wondering if you guys could help me out and let me know what this stuff is, and most importantly is it worth a shart to keep around?

Small skimmer. Would this help on a biocube 14 at all?

The cannister is a sun-sun. They are really nice but mainly used for freshwater tanks.
