Carpenters flasher wrasse laying on side for a few days and now has disappeared

I got the wrasse on Wednesday and when I put him in he swam for a few minutes then went into a corner of the tank next to some live rocks and laid down. For the next day he stayed in the same spot and on Friday he just disappeared, I’ve looked in my rocks, around the stand, and around the tank. Is he a goner and my clean up crew has took care of him? I have 12 hermits a cleaner shrimp 5 nascerrius snails and atleast one hitch hiker micro brittle star and some turbo snails

He could be hiding in the rock work. They're very adept at hiding in unusual spots.
