I used it for 2 years in an SPS tank until I got a dual gfo/carbon reactor. Worked great but a little pricey for larger tanks...

It used to be great, and was an awesome product IMO. But the creator passed away a long time ago, the sons did a great job of carrying the ball afterwards, but they are no longer with the company and I just don't care for the changes in their products. A pity, really.

Have you considered Poly Bio Marine polyfilters? They are tie tested; awesome chemical filtration media.

I used to use the standard chemi pure and it worked well for me. I would say the elite is a bit out of my price range to use on a consistent basis but I'm sure its similar to using a decent carbon with some gfo.

Never used Chemi pure but I know of others that have used it in the past and liked it.
I have used the pads that Anthony Calfo spoke of. Good product IMO and really easy to use.
