Chemistry counts! How many part system do you add to your tank?

One part, two part, or three part! There are many ways to manage calcium and alkalinity in a reef tank, from dosing Kalkwasser to using the Balling method. Many corals need calcium and alkalinity to thrive and grow, so many reef keepers dose alk, calcium, and magnesium following certain recipes and amounts based on the needs of their tank. If you dosing for calcium and alkalinity, how many part system do you add to your tank?

I use probably one of the most expensive 2 part dosing options, Seachem Reef Fusion. I have tried to use other methods like making my own sodium carbonate, but they never worked out because the concentration was too low. So I just stick with what works, as I will never use kalkwasser. Also All For Reef didn't work because my alk demand is too high, and my calcium would be high with low alk.

I mostly just use a 2 part but occasionally have to add a third but not usually. I’m guessing water changes take care of my magnesium. I really should look into adding a third balling part but so far I haven’t.
