Hi Reefers!

I recently cycled my 20g tank successfully with live sand and live rock. I got 2 clownfishes from nearby lfs. I just noticed there's a black dot mark on the right Gill of the female clownfish. Is it a parasite? Kinda confused. BTW I'm new to reef tank. Can anyone help me? Please.

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

Hard to see, but that is more likely a bacterial (or more rarely) a fungal infection, not a parasite.

Did this develop suddenly? Is the fish still eating well?
