Hi everyone,

This is regarding my set up where i have noticed a strange behaviour of my clown tang. Though not always, but sometimes it behaves as shown in the video. I have checked the parameters and everything is fine. Water was changed 50 percent jist 3 days back.

It seems to be getting dominated by sailfin tang. On google it says to keep 3 tangs to keep aggression in check. Should i add another ? Or is it something else.

Please advise.

From other posts I see your tank is only 20 gallons? That's waaayyyyy too small for even 1 tang. Clown tang itself should be in a tank 200g and up.

Here it is.

I have attached it here as well as provided the google drive link. Hope it is visible now.

This is normal as it is what is called glass surfing and exploring the tank. I will also note, this fish is somewhat thin and needs proper foods mainly meaty. Mine eats like no tomorrow. Some foods to add are:
LRS herbivore diet
Formula 2 flake and frozen
TDO Pellets
small plankton
Hikari Marine cuisine
Ocean nutrition veggie diet
spirulina brine shrimp
mysis shrimp
Prime reef
Nori seaweed basted with garlic extract

Add selcon vitamins to foods occasionally

here is mine:

Your clown tang looks magical. I feed them once a day and my clown tang eats alot. After anthias i would say. I am thinking to add sea weed to the diet , currently only feeding flakes. Any other food suggestions?

Tangs and anthias are better off fed small amounts, multiple times a day. Try feeding three times, as much as they care to eat.

Agree with thin-ness. I'm assuming no other fish are showing 'thin-ness'?
No, all other fishes are doing just fine. I would try feeding them three times a day as you said Jay. The only issue I thought could have been stress, but since it is not, i think they are all doing fine. Thank you everyone.

Sorry for the squirrel moment, whats on the back of the tank??? It looks like a marble backing of some kind?
