I've had this clownfish for about 6-7 years now. When I got it it was pretty orange, over the years it had turned mostly black. It seemed to have a grown spirt lately because it was always much smaller than the other. Does this look like a case of brooklynella? It swims and eats just fine. I don't really see any mucus or heavy breathing. I'm just wondering if its something normal or not. Thank you for the help.

IMHO - @vetteguy53081 will also weigh in - there is excess mucus on one fish - unless you've introduced more fish, etc - its not as likely - Fish produce more mucus whenever they have an injury - @Jay Hemdal

Pics a little fuzzy but not seeing brook, but still possible if you can post a couple clearer pics. As for color change- not abnormal and this guy may be a Mocha clown. Over the last two months , one of my percula pairs has gotten near black (below). I see this girl is getting full with eggs again

My Camera doesn't seem to want to take any clear photos but hopefully these are better.

Okay, Thank you for your time I appreciate the help.

I would be totally floored to see a long term captive clownfish develop Brooklynella, I think you can rule that out.

One thing that older clownfish do get is Mycobacterium, fish tuberculosis. It causes fish to have various symptoms, including turning pale. However, the fish having a growth spurt isn't normal for that disease.
