20# of Caribsea Sand
5# of a larger grain sand
1# of Premium Aquatics Livesand

12# of Premium Aquatics Kalieni Live Rock
Marco Rock to finish the aquascaping

Ordered a Mystery Wrasse from Live Aquaria while they were on sale ($155 shipped was to good to pass up). He will be the showstopper of the 28g.

Possible down the road I may buy a Blue Spot Jawfish (Huge Maybe).

As for corals the following will be moved from my 24 to my 28:
Superman Digi
Tubs Birdsnest
Ultimate Frags Purple w/ Yellow Tip Birdsnest
Phonape Birdsnest
ORA Green Polyp Birdsnest
ORA Blue Milli
Ultimate Frags Blue Milli
Exoticfrags.us Red Milli
Nuclear Green Paly
Purple Death paly
RPE Palys
Armor Of God Paly
Halloween Paly
Orange Cloves
Blue Cloves

Plan to also buy my first clam once the tank is established, a Blue Maxima Clam.

That's all for now, can't wait to get it going.

Great looking tank. How long are you going to be cycling it? Nice selection of fish also. You have two of my favorites...the blackcap basslett and the mystery wrasse.

Yep, it has a very unique middle bar, Rod said he has seen maybe 5 total with that bar and he kept one:

Thanks Marvin.

The Helfrichi arrived in rough shape, hoping he pulls through. Currently feeding him Selcon or Vita-Chem enriched foods.

You would be hard pressed to find that wrasse for cheaper than that. He's worth every penny :)

Time for an update.

Had hernia surgery in the middle of June and the tank suffered. My Helfrichi that I got in rough shape kicked the can because I couldn't fuss after him as I usually did. I think it was just a matter of time as he must have had something wrong with him. Ich spots on and off and other unidentified blotches on the skin.

Couldn't do a good water change for a while and algae took off. Got some Cyano and hair algae, just knocked out the cyano with a 2 day Chemi-Clean & lights out treatment. Added 10 Turbo's, replaced the chemical media (Purigen, Chemi-Pure, Rowa Phos), and did a major water change to combat the hair algae. Have new filters and DI for my RO/DI on order.

Used the stock bulb for to long (The JBJ 14K DO MH bulb SUCKS) and just added the reeflux. In 3 weeks all of my birdsnests have the white noticable growth tips :)

Love the Reeflux, found the Phoenix to be to blue but this is a nice white crisp light.

Yeah, the Nukes are always going to be my faves but I got some OPE's from Jody and they are a close second:
