Sorry lads I'm wanting to update but am just having more and more trouble getting pictures without my filters as I can't find them after packing them for the house rebuild.

Probably going to just order new ones if I can't find over next couple days if any suggestions I'm all for suggestions!

Some frags and a nem I picked up yesterday. Found it very interesting the nem spreading its tentacles under/through the rock work.

Love the anemone!
Thanks, me too! Looking to load up that whole.... what used to be an island in the center with nems and a clown harem

Having a mind tear on the far right of the tank on if I want to try and create something fun and swimmable extension to the cave that's in the leftside rock or if I want to had just some light rock steps and a kelp/macro algae forest.

I need to do some research on fast enough growing algae to survive all the tangs as I imagine the idea isn't going to be possible...

An update to the stock list by the way I did lose a powder blue and the powder brown. The brown every time I saw him was near the bullied blue but I never saw it bullied and it never showed damage so I'm thinking it was a mix of it not having fully recovered from shipping and stress of being around the bullied party too often.

The left rock not being in at the time I blame(and the universe as thr rock was solid in every lift and movement test and there were many! But only ever had problems every time it went to get put in the tank)and my not moving them to my older tank until I could get the new rock in sooner.

Will get another brown on next fish add but gonna stick with just the 2 blues now.

I did add this weekend 2 skunk cleaner shrimp a handful of cherry shrimps and a Halloween urchins which I never really liked the look of in stores or web pages but in my tank I love it and will be getting at least 1 more

Nem officially moved all the way through the rock and is now hanging upside down but seemingly happy. Just letting it do its thing for now. Aim to try and get it back on top proper eventually.

Grabbed another anenome over the weekend. Waiting to see how it settles in but here's a picture of both.

Just a photo dump as I've been s9 busy but thought I'd show some additions.

I'm linking a brief display video(hope that's allowed) shut your sound off suggested, I'm not
a pro at this-just what sounds like awkward breathing I don't believe is too enjoyable.

No filter photo on the first took today it seems to be doing so well and growing nicely!

I adjusted/staggered my lights. Never seen this done or showcased. I mostly did it to test effect for shorter viewing angles to not be blinded by lights but am actually seeing more happiness all around but time will tell

Looks great!

I was wondering if you would help me out...?

I am interested in the S1000 G2 and was wondering if you could tell me how many inches wide the Euro-bracing is...?

And how many inches long the returns are where you could fit a UV sterilizer into one of them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

The bracing is roughly 3 and 1/8 inch to the outside of the glass.

I didn't have time to get down and measure the pipes but to use the mounting clips you'd have to reroute further from the back wall and maintenence for the uv sterilizer wouldn't be fun at all.

I haven't figured out how I'll be installing uv yet as I'm just waiting for a sale. I'm sure I'll be sharing that once installed though.

Thanks for the reply!

So, the black Euro-brace plus the 3/4" tank glass is 3 1/8"...?

That would make the black Euro-brace itself 2 3/8"...

Thanks!

And, yeah, I realize that the UV won't fit exactly straight on...

I would have to plumb it out further from the wall, and depending on how much clearance there is above the sump, it might even have to be a little higher than the lower return line...

But it would still (hopefully) be perpendicular to the lower return line.

The UV I am looking at is the Aqua Ultraviolet 57 Watt - it's rated for up to 335 gallons and is 20" L x 3.75" W x 6" H including the inlet and outlet, and has 3/4" connection barbs.

Will be interesting to see how you choose to do it.

Thanks again!

Yes that's about right for the eurobracing. I was measuring as a last effort before rushing out the door for work after putting the tape away but did another measure of just the inside glass brace and it was just under 2.5 inches but I couldn't remember exactly. And they are cut to metric so it's never going to be 100% with a u.s. tape mes.

Have you ordered and are planning out the tank or still considering? Given the nature I ended up with this tank and the rush I felt to set it up my kit setup is a rats nest(why no pictures of sump yet) though it's getting cleaned up very soon as I'm about to add kalk, a trident and automated dosing very soon so there will be lots of updates soon... or I hope anyway to not be a liar as I know I've promised that a few times in this thread.

The uv you mention is the same I am planning to use. I am running a neptune cor 15 independently for each return line. And am planning on using a(2) 57w uv on both lines. So yeah stay tuned for how that gets set up. But this weekend I will try and get you measurements for your idea of running in line without turns... would be ideal for flow but I will do my best to give you an idea of how far off the back wall it has to be moved--prob better to just not use the back wall clamps and go inline at an angle considering the pressure loss...

I won't be considering that as I'll be rerouting the flow to ensure maintenance on the units are as easy as possible and is part of the reason I am running 2 pumps independently. My last tank was 175 or 200 liters and my manifold in the cabinet took up more space than the sump and became a nightmare to maintain. I am putting a heavy emphasis on ease of access on this one.
