Hi everyone,

I believe my tank can use more live rock so I have it curing. (Pic attached) For reference, the rock is completely submerged, it doesn’t look so in the pic. I have a power head and heater in the tub. The rock water is testing quite high for ammonia, I have already changed all the water once. The rock and water doesn’t smell bad, the rock smells like rock and I verified the test kit on the sump water. That water is reading zero, so test kit is working.

My question is this: Rather than make up new water for the live rock, can I turn that water over with DT water and put the newly made water in the DT? I am using regular Red Sea salt mix.

Thanks!
