Howdy everyone! Greeting from Singapore!

I'm a reefer based in Singapore but took interest in R2R forum as majority of you guys are more supportive and active here!

Before I dwell any deeper, would like to show my FTS as of 30th June 2019;

Blast from the Past - 2017

Real Estate is a premium in Singapore (and also a long wait to move into a government built infra), so I had a full freaking year to plan for my tank, layout, tank design etc. PROS n CONS.

Pros: I have ample time to clean my rocks, look for my desire size and shape, designing my sump layout, tank layout.

Cons: i gotta wait for 1 YEAR!

So since i have ample time, i also took the opportunity to do a dry scape.

However as some of you might know, I have an existing 6ft tank which I have previously kept all my fish and coral. For the purpose of retaining most of them, I resort to purchase 2 sets of equipment for my 2 tank, my existing 6ft, and the new 5ft. The move isn't simple, it is mind boggling to decide who goes first and how to move them. If anyone is interested i will elaborate further in the thread.

I have completely utilise the space in my cabinet to place my oversize skimmers and quarantine/refugium tank (Duo purpose). How I have achieve it you can try to understand from my blue print below

Dimension: 5ft x 2.5ft x 2ft

Blueprint of my sump (design by myself but had amendment thereafter)

Some pictures of my tank - (When lit by previous lightset -ATI Sunpower)

Blast from the Past - 2017 (6 month later of 2017)
Less than 6 month usage of my ATI Sunpower and screaming internally daily. I simply hate how T5HO look in the tank, it doesn't give off the pop I'm looking for. This is my last time jumping into any fad.

Blast from the Past - 2018

What is a reef tank with catastrophe right? This is when I was hit by one, a devastating one.

I bought a Green Carpet Anemone and for a few week, it had stayed under my Wavemaker minding it's own business. But one fine day when I was back, I saw half of the carpet anemone was stuck onto the wavemaker, the remaining half was shredded and distributed into the tank!

Death toll: Half of my fish was wipe out; mostly sensitive fish like Achilles Tang and Kole Tang.

After a major water change in early 2018. This is also the time when i stop doing any more water changes,

My Reefing Principle: believe in not chasing number but for stable parameter.

But what do reefer do in-spite of a setup? They come back stronger! As I was having limited real estate due to the narrow rock work and "overall tall rock structure" my placement of coral was restricted! Hence I decided to break up my rock , take them out and use Aquaroche solely. these rocks are hand made and each piece is unique. Structure with built-in ledges for Aquaroche eco reef plates to hide angle of weir! When use enough, it does replicate a segment of the reef. Without further ado; please see the new scape :)

To be honest, it is quite a pain to mount this light up as I’m using a AI Rail for my Hydras. Hanging kit for it also doesnt help as it is very short.

Overall pretty decent light, adds alot of light to my shaded area of the tank. [emoji1303]
