Hey guys, 30 gallon has been running for ten months. Recently I've been trying to bring up my nutrients (successful) by increasing my feeding, and a bit more laxed on water changes. Off top of my head my nitrates are around 5, and phosphates to be honest, not sure. I know they are present however. Also I added a melanarus a month ago, and he is always in and out of my sand bed kicking that up. I have algae growing on my bed, and rocks. What do you guys think it is?

Looks like Diatoms. Is there any air bubbles underneath the mat?
