I am not one who has previously dipped coral religiously. I have always just acclimated to temp and dumped in. Unfortunately I had an ich outbreak and fallowed, QT’d, yadayadayada. Now I have a dedicated coral QT setup that is primarily for keeping fish parasites out, but if I can kill coral pests at the same time I would like to do so. I am mostly keeping Euphyllia at the start but want a coral regiment I can use for everything. What are the pros and cons of this one below:

1)Coral RX -6ml per liter 5 minutes
2)Clean tank water 10min
3)Bayer -40ML/liter 15 minutes
4)Clean Tank water: 10 minutes
5)Iodine dip(lugols) per liter 10 drops:10 minutes (if noticeable need)
6)Clean tank water: 10 minutes

Looks good to me! I do the Bayer and Iodine myself. I use CoralRX for more sensitive coral.

For fish parasites, likely need to go through a full life cycle in QT in fishless tank for they types of parasites you're trying to prevent. Roughly 30 days or so with no fish.

Thanks for the information! That makes me more comfortable with using them.

Yes, all of the coral will be in the fishless tank for 45 days. Thought I may could kill some coral pests while at it ya know!
