Has anyone made one of these with great success and willing to share how they did it. In desperate need of one within the next to weeks going out of town for a week for honeymoon and need to keep my tank alove while im gone. plus others might be looking for ideas aswell

i was just loooking into the tunez ato, and im def going to go with that system, it comes with everything you need no hassels and its relatively affordable, optical eye, audio alarm, pump ect.

For a cheap solution, using a airlifter and either a float valve or timer would probably work for a realatively short time period.

I have one and consider it to be the best purchase I have ever made. Just make sure to raise the hose out of the sump water and aim it towards the back to avoid noise and siphoning effects

How many gallons are you replacing and how often? How big is the tank?

The air lifter pumps 3.5 gal in one hour, so ~0.9 gal in 15 mins. You could set a timer for the appropriate amount of 15 min intervals that you will need, daily. Don't get more ghetto than that and would take no time at all to setup.

I made and used this one for several yrs before upgrading to an RKL. Never had a prob and was really easy to make.. I have a diagram somewhere if I can Find it.
