Hi reefers,
1. After successful build of DIY Wave Box using Jebao RW15 wave maker, this time i decided to make a Sea Sweep using Motorized Surveillance Camera pan Mount. Pic is below

1xx.jpg

2. The beauty of this DIY is that it does not include any Wiring or Complexity. All You need is a Motorized CCTV Bracket Mount easily available in approx 15 $ US. There are multiple CCTV Mounts but the one i used was Sturdy and heavy enough to hold a bigger wave maker.

3. Detailed video shows following
a. Fixing a PVC End cap on Motorized Mount
b. Fixing a Jebao Outer magnet on a 6 Inch PVC Pipe
c. L Shape Acrylic Mount for Motorized Mount on Aquarium Glass Rim
d. Connecting 12 V Adopter with Mount Motor.
e. Connecting Jebao RW6 Wave maker with Magnet Inversely.
f. Connecting 12 V Adapter with Wave maker Controller.
4. All Such Details can be seen comprehensively on my Youtube Channel MQReef at

5. Feel Free to ask Queries, Like and Subscribe.

Awesome work! My only suggestion would be to not put the outer magnet inside the water. It might not be sealed as rigorously as the inner magnet. I'm sure you can find some other way to mount it to the end of your submerged pipe.

Is this surveillance motor available online?

thx for suggestion. i have siliconed the outer magnet as precautionary measure and also the screws over motor to stay rust free. will be monitoring.

Does anyone know where I can find one of these mounts online? Been searching but can't seem to track one down.

I had a box like this back in 2008 I think. It had a maxijet 1200 on it and did 90 degrees. Why use a jebao vs a regular $15 steady powerhead? You don't need variable flow when it rotates.
