I have this royal gramma with a spot on one eye. This started developing when I had him in quarantine over a year ago. It didn't react to meds so I put him on into the display. Again that was over a year ago. This fish has stayed hidden most of the time since then so I never was able to see if it had improved. Today I saw him out and it still has that same spot in one eye.. Ideas?

No, looks like a eye infection. Not ruling out flukes. Have you fresh water dipped it?

Here's info on eye infections:

There would be no way I can get him out of the tank now to fresh water dip but it was treated with prazi in quarantine and I can't remember now but I think I treated with antibiotics also when I saw this pop up in quarantine. But it's been this way for over a year.. Wouldn't an infection or anything really have progressed more then this by now..

Yes fish can get cataracts or the lens gets discolored like that if its permanently damaged. Nothing you can do about it.
