Upgrading tanks today.

Tank 1:
Temp 80°F
Salinity 1.025

Tank 2:
Temp 79°F
Salinity 1.024

Both tanks use DI water and same salt. Wondering if I can just throw everything in or do I have to acclimate

What are you asking about? Is one tank stocked and the other new? Did you cycle? What is the lighting? What are all the other parameters? What are you referring to by “everything “?

Sorry, yes the new tank has been set up for 2 months and has a mandarin and engineer goby in it. I am planning on moving my old tank which includes 2 clowns, 1 dottyback, goby and pistol shrimp, cleaner shrimp, corals, and moving the rock too. The lighting is also being transferred from the old tank into the new one. Other parameters I am not sure on, but both tanks are clean and have no algae growth.

Other parameters include
Calcium, magnesium, alkalinity, phosphate, Nitrates.
Did you cycle this new tank? How did that go?
What is the filtration system?
I really don’t like the way you are doing things but some people say it works.
I would have live rocks in both tanks with live sand. Both completely cycled

Suggest adding one or two fish at a time. This will allow the bacteria to multiple to meet the new demand.
Wait about 5 days and check you ammonia level. If it is zero do the next batch.
There are minimal differences in temp and salinity. If you want to be overly cautious acclimate to the new parameters using a drip method.

There is no reason to spend any time acclimating fish or corals between those parameters.

Yes the tank was a 9 month system and I’ve had it for 2 months. I’ve been nursing a dragonet in it for that time so I’m pretty sure it’s been cycled, and like I said I transferred the live rock from the established tank along with the live rock already in the new one. Everyone has been moved and all the corals are open and happy and all the fish are exhibiting notm behavior
