Why not use all.for reef? No effect on ph and keeps alk rock solid. Has mag in it

Yes please use the BRS calculator.

If you’re short, you can go about 150ml MAX a day on magnesium. To be in the safe zone.
EXAMPLE: One dose of 150ml Friday… one dose of 150ml Monday Magnesium.
EXAMPLE Alkalinity: one dose of BRS amount. One Friday of ml and one dose on Monday ml.

Somebody was telling me today that nobody should be dosing mag? And if i dose mag to lift from 1260 to 1350 it will casue dilution?

Why someone would say that I have no clue. I think you can easily dose 90-100ppm like that at once with no issue. I've dosed cupfulls at a time.

Because i got a bad batch of salt, and the calcium ia 420, mag and alk is bad.

A bad batch is salt is orders of magnitude less common than bad test results.

It is easy to dose and I have DIY recipes (BRS uses them), but you might be referring to me, when I have said that, IMO, it is questionable whether folks should ever bother to test magnesium. Bad rest results are very common and true magnesium problems that are not simply salinity issues are quite uncommon.

If you use an alk and calcium method that adds a reasonable amount of magnesium, then IMO, testing magnesium is more trouble than it is worth.
