Dosing for algae scrubber

There are a lot of products that can be dosed if you have a refugium. Do these products need to be dosed for an algae scrubber too?

There are a lot of products that can be dosed if you have a refugium. Do these products need to be dosed for an algae scrubber too?

I'm not aware of anything specific to dose for a refugium, but photosynthetic organisms in general (including algae and corals) use a lot of iron and manganese and those are among the most important to potentially dose.

That said, all trace elements also come in with foods, so dosing is an experiment, not a "must have" in every case.
