So I followed some great advice on my last post and now have a new question for the electrical gurus here…

There are a total of 5 wires for my three prong plug and I’m not familiar with some of these colors.

Looking online seems to give me different answers for the live and neutral colors (the only one I’m 100 positive is the ground!). Can someone guide me to which color wire goes to which terminal on the new plug?
Thanks!

You could email the manufacturer to see if they'll give you info on the original wiring diagram. You could also dissect the original plug to see how it was initially paired.
It’s a Jebao so even if I do email, not sure I would get it in a reasonable amount of time…would I need the diagram to actually connect to an end plug?

Don’t think this is going to work…the wire coming out of the ballast has the 5 wires going to the UV bulbs (duh! And the one I need to have a connector on) while the one going to the ballast has the standard 3 wires…….its been a long weekend!
