Currently dosing 16 ml of ESV, that claims is 1ml/20 gallons adds 1ppm NO3. That said, I’m switching to NeoNitro due to what was in stock, and just need to know what would be the equivalent in terms of ml’s to dose. I couldn’t seem to find the info, or might have overlooked it. Thanks…

FWIW, good quality calcium nitrate is likely cheaper from Loudwolf. :)
I’m sure! I had some NeoNitro left over from a while ago I wanted to use up and just got another 250ml bottle. Probably last me a month. I’ll need to go cheaper from here on out since my tank’s fuge likes to sponge up NO3 heavily.

Side question, don't mean to hijack, but is it better to dose a nitrate product or a precursor of nitrate? I think I've heard ammonia or urea dosing mentioned?

I wouldn’t dose urea, since we cannot measure it and I’m not sure what uses it, but ammonia is a fine thing to dose. There’s a diy ammonia dosing thread in this forum.

Is it better than nitrate? I don’t know.

Can you advise me as to what the proper RODI ratio I should mix if I bought this? I would assume it is a powder? If Would like to dose around the same concentration as the NeoNitro…

I “believe” 1ml of Neo will raise 1 gallon by about 5ppm.

Is there a “NO3 for Dummies” I can reference to simplify this chart? lol

Edit: 36 grams to 1 liter RODI, that correct?

I do not like things for dummies. I like to see why.

Yes 36 grams/liter

ESVs product is about 4 times stronger.

Thank you, I appreciate the help!

In regards to ESV I had to double the dose for +/- similar results.

Ill be purchasing this powder shortly tho.
