Extending Inkbird Temp Probe

Has anybody done this? Inkbird sells replacement probes but not the dual probes (at least that I’ve found). I have this one:


Even if I had the single probe version a replacement of the same length wouldn’t do me any good.

You can do it by splicing in additional wire , just remember to cut it well away from any exposure to moisture.

As for the precision, I did not notice any difference.

As for Inkbird in general, other issues drove me away from them but the probe extension did work for me.

These pictures are from when I replaced my probe but the principle is the same.
