Hey guys. I have a gem with an eye poking out.
He seems fine and looking things up says to just wait, but I would like some reassurance from people with more experience
Only thing I can think of is that he got hit with my baster(I have to shew him away from corals when I feed the corals)

This is popeye and can be caused from/by injury, gas embolism and even eye flukes. Of the three mentioned, i suspect injury and will warrant treatment using Ehthromyacin which is Maracyn as shown below for at least 5 days.
Is fish still eating ?

Yeah/ he’s eating, he’s been QT’d before he went into the tank. He’s otherwise totally fine

Should I leave it?
I would - the more handling of the fish, the greater the risk of additional damage.

Watch for: cloudiness, air bubbles in the eye, the second eye getting affected or changes in behavior like not eating.
