Has anyone used this knockoff Hanna checker? If so how does it work. Also do you guys think I should get one? Just wondering everyone’s thoughts.

Considering that accurate measurements are necessary I'd not recommend a knock-off as there is zero accountability and no way to check that their device is actually doing what they claim. Best to go with the real device.
$20 more for the real deal

That listing is only for the calibration fluids/packets. Not the meter. The meter listing is for $79
The meters are $50

So the ebay listing is just the packets that go inside?

The meter listing on eBay by that seller is for $79.
The listing is for two of the little bottles filled with calibration fluid. Click on the "See Details" when you click on the link and it will show what they are really selling for $30

Hanna has 3 different alkalinity checkers. Make sure which one you’re buying.
HI772- saltwater measures dkh
HI755-saltwater measures ppm
HI775-freshwater measures ppm

I'd rather spend the extra $20 and buy the real product from a reputable source, support a company that makes great products, and have access to warranty and support if needed.

It isnt a fake.... that's the calibration fluid.

If that's true, it's almost twice as much as buying it elsewhere. FWIW, the title of the product is listed as "Hanna Marine Alkalinity DKH Checker" and the product number doesn't seem to correspond to anything that Hanna seems to actually make. I do see references in the description to calibration fluid.

In any event. I'd stay far far away from anything this particular ebay seller is selling.
