Should I use filter media that's been sitting in stagnant saltwater for a month and a half?
Or should I wash and dry it before using it?

I pulled apart a tank about a month ago and put my bio blocks in a plastic box along with some of the water. It's just been sitting there without water movement except when I added some freshwater to compensate for the evaporation. I'll be setting up a new tank soon and was wandering if it's worth using the blocks straight from the box in the new tank or Id be better off cleaning them.
Would you use them as is?

Wash it well before you use it!
