Unfortunately a fish this small and fragile will not recover. If you have a quarantine tank, increased oxygen and fresh seawater but likely not a positive outcomeMy firefish was just sucked into my powerhead, is still breathing but can't swim!! What should I do?????/
Already did that. He's almost stuck in the shape of the powerhead. Still won't move but is breathing, just very rapidlyIf you have a small isolation box that you can clip in the tank I would put it in there to get it out of the current.
How should I?I would sadly put it out of its misery
Some people will put them in the freezer. I usually give fish I need to put down a strong flick to the head(it has to be strong and precise in order to be humane). I’llHow should I?
As someone who came from freshwater and the amount of times you see dropsy I always had a bottle hidden away. How many people keep clove oil on hand I know I don’t. That’s why I always suggest the fastest easiest way.
Its really trying to survive. It keeps trying to swim in a circle, sort of doing it, then going limp again. Do you think it'll make it, or should I just go ahead and put it out of its miseryUnfortunately a fish this small and fragile will not recover. Maybe give it 1/2 an hour if you don’t see a vast improvement it’s probably not gonna make it.Its really trying to survive. It keeps trying to swim in a circle, then going limp again. Do you think it'll make it, or should I just go ahead and put it out of its misery
Okay. Thank you all for the helpMaybe give it 1/2 an hour if you don’t see a vast improvement it’s probably not gonna make it.
Honestly- I’ve seen this too often- recovery is very slim- there is no half hourIts really trying to survive. It keeps trying to swim in a circle, sort of doing it, then going limp again. Do you think it'll make it, or should I just go ahead and put it out of its misery
