  1. Always quarantine your fish before adding them to your display tank.
  2. Always dip your coral for parasites and bacteria infections.
  3. Any adjustments in your tank if it’s lighting temperature chemistry levels in the water do them in slow increments.
  4. Never dip clams or anemones
  5. One person solution in there tank isn’t necessarily gonna work for you.
  6. Build your tank around a budget that works for you.
  7. Do your own research.
  8. it’s never a bad idea to have newly mixed salt water on hand in case of an emergency.
  9. Know, that specific fish need specific surface and water, volume/area to swim.
  10. Know, your media and uses activated carbon ,GFO ,ceramic media etc.
  11. No, your equipment, reactors, protein,skimmers, chaeto reactor etc
  12. Do you have a plan if power goes out for long periods of time?
  13. Stick to a routine on maintenance no matter what direction you choose to go
  14. Patience nothing good comes fast in this hobby.
  15. Do not have inexperienced people watch your reef
