Hey everyone I am new to the hobby. Had a tank going for probably a couple months now. I got a good deal on some frags the other day but that good deal came with not knowing exactly what any of them were. I am trying to ID this frag currently so I can figure out flow, lighting, and placement for it. I’m guessing a toadstool leather of some kind but so far it has not popped any polyps out or anything so I’m not sure. Any guidance would be much appreciated!

firstly; welcome aboard the r2r board! hello from PA!

secondly; it does resemble a leather. but i don't see any indications of it having polyps. it could be getting ready to shed(if you have some carbon on hand, i would put some in the tank to help remove the toxins from it once its done shedding)

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
